Like a moth to a flame, I am unforgivingly driven to sunlight. I love it, can't live without its warmth. So, especially in these cold winter months (granted I'm in California, so I should be quiet, I know, I'm sorry) all I want is comfort from the sun. Today, I found it while making the food equivalent of the suns warmth, tomato soup and grilled cheese. Yum.
One of the interesting things about visual inspiration is that it can really come from anything without a trace of remembrance or sometimes quite the opposite, you can't get that image out of your head. Today's imagery came from a poster that was never approved for a movie. Well, this is what they didn't choose, on the contrary a haunting image I can't get out of my head. So here is the inspiration for Winter Lights. I guess this image has that harsh overcompensation of the winter sunlight vibe to it as well.
